OH DEAR ME

Jordan kept her self extra busy tonight as I folded mounds of laundry, but it never occurred to me to see what she was making with so much effort. Finally, she brings me her finished product.

"Mommy, I made a Valentine for Skyler."

Skyler is her "best friend" at school. He's a good kid. Really he is. It seems like she talks about him all the time. However, making a Valentine brings my heart rate up without jogging on the treadmill.

On the front are the simple words, "Happy Valentines". I appreciate the fact they are hugging and not kissing. My concern is the obvious hearts popping up above their heads. And if that isn't enough Jordan tells me she calls him "Sky" and has so written it above his slightly cocked and content face. Do their eyes HAVE to be closed during this embrace?

When you open the Valentine, again, another hug. This time hearts are popping out all over the place, but at least their heads aren't touching. I don't like how long his arms are, noodle arms are for the movie "Dirty Dancing" and not my seven year old. She points out the birds in the nest. "Look, Mom, they are hugging." "No, Jordan, they are kissing." She diverts my attention to the pretty hearts on her skirt.

Finally, as you turn over the Valentine you will see that I've covered something with my finger. That's because I didn't want my phone number plastered all over my blog. That's right, Jordan gave out her digits. Isn't this like JR HIGH type stuff?
I'm not sure what Daddy would do if he called asking for Jordan. Thank goodness she gave out MY cell phone number.

Oxygen please.

She is so cute and a pretty great artist. You might have your hands full here, her first love already.
